DNA-Genealogy
How can we think of linking 'Historical Topography' (Hic Leones) and 'DNA-Genealogy' (iGenea, i.e. FamilyTreeDNA) ?
Because they are a perfect complementary match !
In the way Hic Leones makes it very easy for you to extend your geographical horizon towards the outside, iGENEA DNA-Genealogy opens a window to the inside of your family history. With these techniques you can answer genealogical questions going back about 600 years, but you can also look back much, much further into the past of your family ... into a time when there were no written records yet.
Within the next weeks and months you will find here at Hic Leones easy-to-follow explanations about DNA-Genealogy, which will make you aware of these fascinating and exciting research options.

Some statistics: PARIS, followed by BERLIN, then DRESDEN, MOCOW and KÖNIGSBERG are the Top 5 among cities; at the bottom of the line we find Olympia, Plymouth, Stockholm, Karlsruhe and finally Canton.
Concerning country maps, you are mostly interested in 1. Political overview of the German Empire; 2. Bohemia-Morava; 3. Austria-Hungary; 4. Europe and 5. British Colonies. At the end of the trail we find Hesse, Southern Italy, Carinthia, Litorale and finally Swizerland.
