Selection-Search
The Selection-Search allows fast creation of lists of selected entries. Here you can combine selections among continents, and/or regions, and/or types.
In the shown example, first the region Schlesien was selected (Silesia; under "Regionen (1)" on the index tab), followed by a selection of the type Orte (places; under "Typen (1)" on the index tab). The selected search criteria is always summarized in the Info-Section (top right; encircled in red).
The resulting entry list contains all the entries (7458) in Silesia (lower left window). Since every entry in Hic Leones is categorized and indexed this list is shown within 1-3 seconds, depending on the computer and processor. By clicking on any of these entries, details are displayed in the lower right window where the details about Silesia is now shown.
Narrowing or expanding the list is easily done by adding to the search criteria. For example select additional regions (Austrian Silesia), and/or additional types (e.g. geographical regions, administrative districts etc.) to see a longer list, or select for example only court districts within Silesia to see a shorter list (143 entries).
